SUMMER / WINTER PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
As the summer season approaches, it's time to shift our focus to ensuring that your property is well-maintained and ready to withstand the challenges brought on by the warmer months. Summer property maintenance is crucial in preserving the aesthetics, functionality, and longevity of your properties. Here are some essential tasks we can help arrange and manage for you.
Summer Property Maintenance
1. Landscape Maintenance
a) During the summer months, the growth rate of plants, trees, and grass tends to accelerate. Mowing and trimming the grass to maintain a neat appearance is essential.
2. Irrigation System Check
a) An efficient and properly functioning irrigation system is vital to keep the landscape lush and vibrant.
3. Exterior Cleaning
a) The summer weather exposes the exterior of properties to increased dirt, dust, and debris. Pressure washing the exterior and cleaning windows will help to maintain your properties appearance.
4. HVAC Maintenance
a) Summer brings higher temperatures, putting additional strain on cooling systems. Scheduling regular maintenance for air conditioning units will ensure a properly functioning and efficient system.
5. Pest Control
a) Summer often sees a rise in pest activity, so it's important to take proactive measures to prevent infestations.
winter Property Maintenance
Winter brings with it a unique set of challenges and responsibilities for property maintenance. At Swan Valley Property Management, we understand the importance of keeping our properties safe, functional, and visually appealing during the colder months. Here are some of the key winter maintenance tasks we prioritize.
1. Snow and Ice Removal
a) Clearing Walkways and Driveways: Removing snow from walkways and driveways tailored to your needs.
b) Roof Snow Removal: Heavy snow accumulation on roofs can pose structural risks. We regularly inspect and photograph the roof giving you access to pictures to determine snow removal from roofs to prevent damage.
2. Heating & WATER SYSTEM
a) Furnace Inspections and Maintenance: We conduct regular visual inspections and if necessary, order maintenance on furnaces or other heating systems to ensure optimal performance and efficient heat distribution throughout the property.
b) We recommend winterizing your home if you will not be visiting the home for extended periods throughout the winter months. We will turn off the water supply to the home, shut off the well pump and drain the water from the pipes if possible.
3. Landscape and Irrigation
a) Part of the routine lawn care maintenance includes shutting your sprinkler system down in the fall and bringing it back online in the spring. Shutting off the water supply and draining the system will prevent freezing and repairs in the spring.
